A small recap on some highlight events in the Sager home.
I have been wanting to take my kids out for a shoot altogether for a while now, and finally had the chance to do it. We went downtown in our snazzy get up to have some fun taking photos. Unfortunately after all of my troubles of finding the place downtown, finding a parking space, and then walking around with 6 children alone trying to keep them all close....I brought my very small 1GB memory card. Darn it!!! We got as many as we could with that puny card (I was shooting in RAW which takes up a ton of space on a card).
Then we went home to grab my proper memory card and stayed in town to get some more shots.
I quickly edited them and went off to print them and laminate some for Grant for Fathers Day. He always talks about the kids at work, so I thought it would be nice for him to be able to show them off. This is what I made:
The kids all made him cards, poems, drawings and we gave him a little shopping spree. Here was our little table set up.
The donut tower was in place of a cake. After church, we took Grant to Big Hill Springs Park for a picnic and hike. We invited the Sherlocks to come along since there was so much food.
It was a gorgeous fun day!
This week has been full of finishing things off. Catcher had his last day of Kindergarten on Tuesday. I can't believe Maiya is going into Kindergarten next year and I will only have one more child left to put in school. We celebrated by taking him swimming on Wednesday. Wednesday night was Damian's last gymnastics class for the session. He passed another level and will be in level 5 in the fall. Way to go Damian!
(These pics were taken today when I brought the gym mats outside for the kids to play on)
McKenna also had her Grade 4 farewell on Thursday. Next year is middle school for her.
I've had some shoots going on, and lots of people booking, so I am happy about that. I love doing it. The kids have been enjoying the gorgeous weather this weekend with lots of outdoor play. This morning I took Damian to try out a class on Parkour. I think it's something he would love (kind of like street stunts). He had a lot of fun, but it is kind of far and our weekends book up quickly, so if he wants to keep going we will try to when we can. I enjoyed watching them.
Summer doesn't officially start until Monday after school. Odd that they are off for the weekend and go back for just one day...well at least they will probably just be doing something fun and it will be one less day of them telling me they are bored, haha! (Although, I warned them that if they ever came to me whining that they were bored or there was nothing to do...I have a LIST. Some fun chores or some fun school work..so mean I know! I have planned some fun activities for them too though, so I'm not all mean...) Grants been working on filling in some really dead spots on the grass. It's not going to look perfect because the whole neighbourhood plays on our lawn, but it'll help!

What FUN Angela. Your pics are great. Where did you print them to get good quality? I re printed ours that you took of us at my prof printers and they are much better, I will also never print on glossy again.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a fun mom.
